If you are an exchange student?
You are an exchange student if UIBE has signed a study abroad program or exchange study agreement with your academic institution. Please check here for our updated list of exchange agreements. If you don't find your University in the list, don't worry, it only means you are a non-exchange student.
A) Exchange students are required to submit their applications to UIBE's Department of International Relations (DIR), it's best if you go through your originating University.

What else you need to do :
UIBE has a clinic that with you student ID you will get some physical
examinations and medical service but you are still required to have
medical coverage for you may be transferred to some hospitals for
serious sickness and operations.
Please go to the nearest Chinese Consulate with your passport, visa application form, letter of admission and JW202 form and other required documents for student visa application. The visas shall be “X” or “F” according to the period of study.

You're Here! What to do upon arrival5 easy steps
UIBE is located in North East Beijing, 25 kilometers from the Capital Airport. Taking a taxi costs RMB 80-100 and should last about 30 minutes. The Address of the campus is: 10 East Huixin Street, Chaoyang District, Beijing. In Chinese the directions to give the taxi driver is:

Check in with the student residence at the reception with the letter of admission and your passport, pay a deposit for campus accommodation, or find off-campus accommodation; obtain the resident permit.
Before register, the Department of International Relations will offer an orientation program that include meeting with the Study Abroad Coordinator, introduction to the registration process, assistance to course selection and adapting to the new surroundings. Regularly the orientation will be on the first date of registration. Get information about the International Yuban Association from the admissions office; IYA is an association of friendship created by Chinese and international students, the IYA will help you settle down, get your bearings, and solve problems.
Every international student is required to register with the School
of International Education before sit in any class. Passport,
letter of admission, JW202 form, photos, evidence of health insurance
and results of physical examinations are required.
Language students are required to take a language test before registering for the regular Chinese language courses.

Your accommodation at UIBE
You have many options for accommodation.
1. On-campus accommodation:
These rooms are equipped with air-conditioners and furnished with a desk, chair, desk lamp, wardrobe, bed, pillow and linen for each student. Refrigerators are available at an extra cost. In-room access to internet is available at an additional cost of 150 RMB/month.

The School of International Education will assist you as much as possible, but it is your responsibility to find alternative accommodation.
For additional resources, try the UIBE BBS, where you might try to make some friends. Although the site is in Chinese, most students at UIBE speak English very well, part of their entrance requirements into UIBE, and are EXTREMELY friendly. So be adventurous and try making some friends who might help you find some accommodation! Back upOK, so you have most of the administrative stuff out of the way. Exams, transcripts, certificates and diplomas- Schedules for examination differ from program to program. - Dual-degree students will be granted a diploma. Please pick up the documents at the International Office of the sending institutions.
