In response to the rapid development of China's economy thanks
to its accession to the WTO and the reform and open-up policy,
an ever-increasing number of foreign scholars, students and
businessmen have come to learn more of modern China and its
language, culture, economy and business practices. To meet the
diverse needs of all those who wish to promote business
relations and cultural exchanges between China and their home
countries, the Center for Chinese Business and Cultural
Studies (CCBCS) offers the following programs in the fields
of economics, business, culture and language to international
students: The Chinese Business and Cultural Studies Programs
and Short-term Intensive Chinese Training Program.
Except for Chinese language courses, all classes are taught in
English, Korean or Japanese by outstanding professors from
famous universities in China. Many of the professors have
studied outside of China and have a great deal of practical
experience in China. During the courses, local business people
from state-owned companies and joint ventures are invited to
give lectures on their areas of expertise. In order to get a
better understanding of China, students are also taken on field
trips to government offices, companies and business events in
addition to visits to historical and scenic sites in China. With
China's accession to the WTO and the continuous economic growth
in the recent years, all programs of CCBCS have become very
popular to those who have great interests in understanding
China’s economic development and cultural exchange.
In order to follow up with the developing steps of China’s
current situation and to satisfy students' desire of learning,
our center keeps adding new courses and also enriches and
improves the existing ones. Every semester the students of CCBCS
are provided with a questionnaire, which enables the center to
obtain information about the courses’ teaching quality and
expectation of the students.
The CCBCS has extensive experience in establishing and
developing academic exchange programs with more than 20
institutions of higher learning and research institutes in
foreign countries. It currently conducts exchange projects with
the following institutions of high learning: Carleton College
and University of South Carolina in the United States of
America, Häme Polytechnic in Finland, La Rochelle Graduate
School of Business in France, Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau
in Germany, Nihon University, Fukuyama University and Kyoto
Sangyo University in Japan and Southern Seoul University in the
Republic of Korea, etc.
The CCBCS is more than happy to draw on its expertise to
establish academic programs with overseas academic institutions,
companies or individuals that are designed to meet various
needs. Please contact us for more details.
