The School of International Education (SIE) at UIBE assumes the special responsibility of recruiting international students and scholars to UIBE's degree and non-degree study programs and providing services for them. The SIE also offers language training programs, including the Chinese Language and Business Chinese at different levels, and advanced studies on Chinese business and culture.

 

Each semester, around 1200 foreign students join UIBE's various programs. Out of this total, over 600 are taking degree courses, and the others are taking Chinese language courses and doing other advanced studies. UIBE has become renowned for the quality education which has been provided to thousands of foreign students over the past years. Armed with the extensive knowledge of international business, being familiar with the Chinese business and culture, and with the competence in the Chinese language, many of those students are now working with government agencies, various institutions and enterprises to promote trade, investment and cultural exchanges between China and their home countries.

 

Offices under SIE include the Dean's Office, Office for Admission and Students' Affairs, Office for Academic Affairs, Center for Chinese Business and Cultural Studies, and the Service Center. The SIE's competent and devoted staff is highly experienced in academic administration and ready to offer excellent services to all participants in any of its programs.
